There are a wide range of GP appointments available to fit into your lifestyle. Pre-bookable evening and weekend appointments with a local GP are available from 6pm-8pm Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm Saturdays and Sundays 10-2pm at Bath Street Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Easily accessible, the Health and Wellbeing Centre is in the town centre and accessible by public transport on the town’s main bus routes.
To access an extended access appointment, please call us and we will arrange the appointment for you. Please be aware that you will need to consent to share your medical record with the GP who is on call in the Extended Access Service.
If need to see a GP when we are closed, please call NHS 111 for our out of hours service.
111 Service - For Advice or Help
You can call 111 when you need medical help fast but it's not a 999 emergency. NHS 111 is a fast and easy way to get the right help, whatever the time.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
When to use it
You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation. It will make it easier for you to access local health services, when you have an urgent need. It will ensure that your call is directed straightaway to the service that is best able to meet your needs, taking into account your location, the time of day at which you call and the capacity of local services. This will eliminate, as far as possible, the need for "call backs".
